fire chief Fred Cox
On behalf of the men and women of the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District, I welcome you to our website. All of our members are committed to providing the highest level of service delivered with pride, professionalism, and excellence! What an honor it is to be selected as the District’s new Fire Chief. My commitment to you is to take every precaution to better protect and prepare the public for emergencies. Our staff is continually working to ensure that our personnel, equipment and facilities are operational ready at all times and that our fire prevention efforts meet the community’s needs and provide for the safety of the citizens. During a large scale disaster, local resources will be strained and it may take time for help to arrive. A well prepared and resilient community must be part of the solution.
I encourage every community member to take the time to explore our website as well as visit our partner agencies websites. Here you find information such as protecting your home for wildfire, developing a disaster plan, and how to receive disaster notifications. Please take advantage of these resources, become informed and build your disaster plan today.
Yours in fire safety,
Fred Cox, Fire Chief
