RANCHO SANTA FE, CA – On Monday, March 7, 2016, at 7:24 pm, firefighters from the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District and Encinitas Fire Department responded to a report of a traffic collision near the corner of El Camino del Notre and Del Dios Highway in Rancho Santa Fe. Upon arrival they found a solo vehicle had gone off the roadway and into a tree. The engine crew quickly assessed the scene and found there was one occupant, a 17-year-old female, still trapped in the car. Firefighters used eDRAULIC rescue tools to free her from the vehicle. The patient was assessed to transported via an AMR ambulance to Palomar Medical Center’s Trauma Center. California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
