Over the course of three days, approximately 750 firefighters will participate in this critical training.  As we head into the hot, dry summer months and the region’s peak fire season, this event plays a vital role in ensuring that our firefighting personnel remain well prepared and ready to respond effectively to wildfires and other emergencies.  The exercises will cover key areas such as emergency communications, firefighter survival, structure defense and hose deployment- all conducted under simulated emergency conditions.

For the fifteenth consecutive year, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), in partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, has generously provided funding for this event. In addition to financial support, SDG&E will once again provide training to educate first responders on how to safely respond to downed power lines encountered during wildland firefighting operations.
