Community Programs
The Rancho Santa Fe FIre Protection District's community education
programs are offered free-of-charge for schools, homeowners associations
and property owners throughout the fire district's boundary.
Programs
for Children
Firefighters can visit students in preschool through fourth grade
presenting age-appropriate fire and burn prevention information
and activities. Each grade level learns two to three fire safety
lessons. Lessons rely heavily on student participation and include
interactive props.
Programs
for Adults
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) – CERT is an all-hazard, all-risk training program designed to teach you how to protect yourself, your family, your neighbors and community during a disaster situation. Class series are held several times a year.
In addition to CERT, fire and injury prevention presentations are also available to adults
within the community. Fire District personnel will speak about public
safety issues at homeowners' association meetings, neighborhood
meetings, or other venues. Presentations typically include a PowerPoint
slide show followed by an ample question and answer session.
To schedule a presentation, please contact Julie Taber at
