What's Hot & What's Not?
What's Hot & What's Not is an interactive game designed to teach
preschoolers how to identify hot things found in their home and
how to keep from being burned by keeping their "hands off"
them. This lesson also discusses the dangers of matches and lighters
and introduces the rule: matches and lighters are tools for adults,
not toys for children.
Firefighters Are Our Friends
Firefighters are our friends is a lesson designed to prevent the
possibility of youngsters hiding from firefighters during a fire.
Firefighters explain how their specialized clothing is helpful to
them in a fire, and demonstrate what they look and sound like wearing
full turnouts, hood, breathing apparatus, helmet and gloves. Firefighters
emphasize their role as a friendly firefighter, not a scary one,
who's always ready to help when there's an emergency.
