Station 6

20223 Elfin Forest Road, Elfin Forest, CA 92029

Volunteers have been serving the communities of Elfin Forest and Harmony Grove since 1972 when residents formed a volunteer fire company. A few years later, a riding stable on Harmony Grove Road was converted into a fire station. In 1982 the Fire Department reorganized and became a nonprofit public benefit corporation called "Elfin Forest/Harmony Grove Fire Department Incorporated," which was funded by a self-imposed service fee. In 1991, the fire department purchased a nearby building on 2 acres located on Elfin Forest Road and the fire station was relocated there. In July 2016, the Elfin Forest/Harmony Grove Fire Department merged with the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District and the station became the 6th within the fire district's boundaries. It continues to serve as a community hub for residents in the area.
